5 years ago RUSSLAVBANK held the First Russian conference devoted to developing Money Transfers Market. Four previous conferences were private ones and intended for participants of the CONTACT System. This year executives to organizations and institutes interested in the Conference subject attended the 5th anniversary International Conference of the System of RUSSLAVBANK. Garegin A. Tosunyan, President of the Association of Russian Banks, Yuri Gazaryan, Adviser of the Expertise Department for Russian President, Pavel Medvedev, First Deputy Chairman of Committee of the State Duma on Credit Organizations and Financial Markets, Lidiya Troshina, Deputy Director of Balance of Payments Department, the Central Bank of RF, Andrey Daydutsky, Assistant of Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine took part in the Conference.The conference attendees discussed current state of the money transfers market in Russia, CIS and foreign countries (outside of the former USSR), their characteristic properties; international rules aimed at combating laundering of proceeds earned by illegal means; increasing the efficiency of the Money Transfers System operations for all its participants; transfers’ role for labor migrants in receiving countries’ economics; methods of process’ optimization and decreasing operations expenses in the money transfers business e t.c.Business meeting was ended with entertainment program, during which participants were freely intercommunicating due to the informal atmosphere. The first bands staffs of “Sinyaya Ptitsa”, “Fabrika” and “Ivanushki-International”, Igor Kruzhalin, Distinguished Artist of Russia, “Gold Saxophone of Russia” were performing on the stage for the audience.
